Clinic Policies

Appointment Policy

Here at Best Friends it is our policy to accept pre-payment for pets who are new to our clinic to ensure your appointment reservation for health care. There is a $25 non-refundable fee deducted from pre-payment if your appointment is canceled. Appointment pre-payment will be kept in its entirety in the case of a no call, no show or if your appointment is not canceled within 24 hours in advance.

To ensure ample time for scheduled appointments and surgical procedures we work by appointment only. Walk-ins may be taken on a case-by-case basis. Emergency situations will always take priority for the safety of the pet. Walk-ins, if approved to be seen, may be subjected to an after hours walk-in fee. Late appointments past 10 minutes are subject to a late fee or may require a reschedule. 4 hour cancellation notice is required to remain in good standing with our clinic. If your appointment is early in the morning it must be canceled by 5 pm the night before.

Medication Refill Policy

Medication refill requests are subject to Doctor's approval. All refills must be requested no less than 24 hours in advance. Express pick-up is available for prescriptions that are needed same-day for service charge of $10.50 on non-DEA Controlled Drugs and $25 on DEA Controlled Drugs. Please allow 24-48 hours for all prescriptions to be filled.

For medications that need to be compounded we require a non-refunable pre-payment and a non-refundable compounding fee of $17.50 will be applied, as well. 48 hours is given to pick-up compounded scripts once they are ready. After 48 hours the prescription will be discarded.

To protect your privacy and your pet's health we do not email or fax prescription requests to 3rd party pharmacies.

Leash and Carrier Policy

All pets must be contained in a pet carrier or leash at ALL times.

Payment Policy

All payment is due at the time services are rendered-- we do not accept payment plans in clinic. We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, cash, Care Credit and ScratchPay. Checks are not accepted.

Drop- Off Appointments

We offer drop-off appointments for clients with busy schedules. Drop-off appointments are dropped off between 7:30-8:30 AM and are picked up in the afternoon after the Doctor has completed the exam, diagnostics, and treatment. A financial deposit is required for all drop-offs.

ScratchPay and CareCredit are lines of credit that can be used to pay for your pet's services. ScratchPay is a loan agreement between you and the clinic where services are being completed. CareCredit is a line of credit that can be used at many animal and human medical facilities.
